Just bought a Panasonic combo microwave and first impressions are; I am
impressed.

Did some chestnuts and CHIPS, what else, both came out fine.

For chips set temperature to 190, put an oven thermometer inside, yes I
know it spun round on the plate but I could see it when it passed the
front; it read just over 200.

Chips cooked fine, lacked a wee bit of crispness but definitely cooked,
maybe another 5 mins but pleased with result. No different to proper
oven only quicker.

May try bread weekend :)

Hale and Pace?
I was thinking "The Generation Game" in the first place, I saw Hale &
Pace as "Fundation" at the Woolwich Tramshed a lot, IMO funnier but
aimed at drunk audience. I remember only newbies sat in the front rows
due to sketches like eating fairy cake (on topic) while singing the
Halleluah Chorus (or something). Then there was singing Billericay
Dicky with a lobster down your trousers (no idea why), I'm sure you
can see it was highbrow musical comedy.

Combo cuddly toy is a concept to juggle with.

Back to food :)

Did a chicken curry in the convector oven this evening.

Turned out great, same as a normal oven, which of course it should.

What I did find was that it appeared to lose temperature quickly (not
too much) if the door was opened; I had an oven thermometer in it.

But of course when door closed and restarted it heated up again.

Pleased.
