Post by s***@gowanhill.comIs it too early to start thinking about what to have for christmas lunch?
Owain
Not really but do you vary it that much?
This will be our 42nd Xmas lunch since being married. One year we went
to the in-laws. On year my wife cooked as I was ill- flu. Every other
year I've cooked- it is a tradition.
This year, the whole family (inc daughters, son in laws, + boy friend)
lunch will be after Xmas due to middle daughter being a Dr and working
on Xmas day- same happened last year, expect it we did it Xmas eve.
Xmas Day lunch this year will be cooked by eldest daughter at her house-
with, youngest, and myself going.
We always have turkey, simply cooked, my special ('secret recipe') sage
and onion stuffing, roast pots, range of veg, (inc sprouts- my
favourite) and a light pudding- often syllabub.
Next day, cold meat and roast pots. Caracas of turkey, which was broken
up and stored in a box in fridge, made into stock for freezing for later
use. I make masses of thick soup with it later.

Remarkable Coincidences:
The Stock Market Crashes of 1929 and 2008 happened on the same
date in October. In Oct 1907, a run on the Knickerbocker Trust
Company led to the Great Depression.
