You need some xanthan gum to do this properly, but you *can* leave it out.
¾ pint of cold milk
1 large banana
Pinch of xanthan gum
2 or 3 drips of vanilla essence (optional)
Put milk in the liquidiser. Peel, then cut banana into chunks and add to
milk.
Blend.
Sprinkle the pinch of xanthan (and you don't need much!) on the pulp and
*immediately* whizz-up the mixture.
The result is a thick, creamy, banana-flavoured milk-shake.
You can add other things - drinking chocolate powder is rather good,
(but it may contain too much sugar); white rum, oh, the lisht ish endlesh.
(White rum _and_ drinking chocolate? Go on: try it! Ed.)
