My carer just made me a bacon butty for lunch. It tasted of spearmint.
When asked her what it was she told me that she always fries bacon
with a few spearmint leaves because that's what her mum did.

Yes I did. There's no way I would have bought it at the butty shop!

IMO it's worth trying. Just two or three new sprouted leaves is all
that needed.

Is it Spearmint? Garden mint is more likely to be Peppermint which has
a much stronger taste.

Not sure, but it is stronger than the peely wally stuff you see in the
shops:)

I grow half a dozen different mints and only use spearmint and
applemint for cooking.
