Have you seen it? It's absolutely mad at times. Aussies love their food.

Generally burnt, and seasoned with sand?

To err is human. To really foul things up requires a computer and the BOFH.

If you'd seen or tasted the sheer range and quality of fabulous fresh
foods in Australian supermarkets you'd eat your words and hat.. without
seasoning.

I doubt it - the only things I bought in supermarkets last year were
thin bleach and french mustard.

I haven't had a chance to not buy anything this year, but should I ever
go to Oz I'll be looking for small specialist vendors.

Horiblemarkes aren't too bad in Oz, much better than here I found. But
the best places to buy fresh ingrediments in Melbourne are the Queen
Victoria Market or South Melbourne Market both within easy reach of
the CBD. Rather like Borough Market in London but much bigger and with
a better range of stalls.

of fusion and pacific rim type stuff.
