I made a couple of gallons or more of chicken, vegetable, mushroom and
(J) artichoke soup.

Heh.

I have just made a new (to me) Lasagne recipe from Nigel Slater

http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/lasagne_95631

I've enjoyed it because it's a long time since I made my own pasta. Quite a
different recipe to the one I have been using. It is *very* rich though and
I can't eat much of of it. Tastes great though.

I'd been interested in comment if anyone else has made it.

Nigel Slater must be a bit difficult to manage all at once. The solution
would be to freeze some of him...

I've just bought some (presumably) semolina flour and when I clear
enough space I'll make some pasta.

This lasagne recipe:) I've made pasta for years but not recently but this
got me going again:)) I make lasagne but not so rich as this one;) I
didn't have any fresh basil to make the basil oil, so I used a little pesto
instead! It was good:)

Print them yourself and spray them with fixative.

Cheapest buying a bottle and a lung-powered blow-through atomiser, but

I just want little card stock hanging tags I can write on myself, since I have a variety of products. I have bought 100 ml modern, sleek bottles, no cutesy stuff. I am now a cook and not an artiste.

You can find ready-designed labels online, (and add the bottle/jar
contents in font of your choice).

http://www.chelsea.co.nz/content/baking-guide/jammaking/jam-labels.aspx

http://www.jamlabelizer.com/

https://www.stickeryou.com/2/labels/food-labels/228

Or do what John does, design your own script on-screen then print
them onto those sheets of blank sticky labels.

one of the worlds great unknown breakfasts
In a café at Uig on the Isle of Skye some years ago while waiting for
the Tarbert (Harris) ferry, I had a breakfast which consisted of:

Bacon; liver; sausage; kidney; pork chop; fried slice of white pudding,
black pudding, sweet pudding, haggis; with chips, tomatoes, baked beans
and mushrooms.

There may have been more (it *was* around 1970) but I missed the slice
of fried Christmas pudding...

I'll second that. Love it eating it in Mallorca, often at lunchtime,
with black pig ham. Best eaten sitting in the cool shade of a tree with
a glass (or two, or ...) of Manto Negro wine ...... Zzzzzzzzz

yes, then too :-) I think the mallorcans favour rubbing half tomatoes

I thought that. Wondered if we were simply not receiving.

Seems nobody has anything to say.
Everybody content with their food world? No comments/criticisms - all
perfect?

I'm looking for a fresh light second pud for Christmas day - contrast with
traditional Xmas pud which is already organised. Suggestions sought
sincerely. Last year lemon posset was nice but I'd like to do something
different. Thinking sharp fruit - raspberry/gooseberry perhaps. No
inspiration yet so all advice would be much valued.

Cheers

Not at all but there was quite a long period when we had nothing at all
