I got a 1Kg pack of Tesco Espresso beans for £9.99 which I think is
good price when I compare it with specialist coffee shops. Some charge
£5.50 for 275 grams. The coffee tastes the same.

Fancy brands here often cost the equivalent of 16quid/kilo. I use a mix
of plain and decaff beans in my coffee maker that grinds. I've found
that supermarket brands make a very acceptable coffee, probably due to
the fact that the beans are freshly ground.
