We are watching 'Mary Berry' and she has just made 'Blinis.

I've never made Blinis but I've eaten them numerous times.

Mary used a recipe which I would say was for pancakes and, looking on
the internet, that seems to be normal.

However, were anyone to have asked me 'What is the basis of a blini
recipe?' I'd have erred towards something like a Nan bread - and I do
make bread (albeit not Nan Bread).

Now I'm curious, were my 'taste buds' off every time I've made Blinis or
am I missing something?

IMHO Blinis are (almost) the same as pancakes.

Thank you, obviously my taste buds, or memory, are playing tricks.

I will have make some and 'refresh' my taste memory.
