Growing sweetcorn for the first time this year. If this hot weather
continues there may be a glut. Question is, should I freeze at harvest or
cook, cool, then freeze? TIA.

I usually blanch veg by dipping in boiling water- may be 30s.

I've tried with and without this, only sweetcorn seemed to be better as
a result, others it made no difference.

The theory, especially with things like sweet corn, is it stops any
sugar breakdown which can (supposedly) still happen even at freezing temp.

We've not done any for a good few years, we are in the process of
getting the veg garden going again. In recent years it has just been
greenhouse crops which we tend to consume or give away.

How do you use your sweetcorn, whole cobs BBQ'd etc. or only the kernals
boiled etc.?

2 fresh whole cobs in the microwave on max with a tbspn of water for 3 mins
on max. Turn cobs over and blast for another 3 mins.
